Mapaq Food handler training target student (online)
This course is aimed at workers in the food sector.
We can name cooks, attendants who touch food in all kinds of businesses such as cafeterias, lunch counters in shopping centers, employees of food factories... The possibilities are numerous, we can cite people who handle foods lasting for short periods of time or for day long chores, working with ready to eat, hot or cold, or those which are in their raw state (such as unpeeled vegetables - note that we exclude the agricultural sector) etc.
Take note that employers in the food industry are always in search of such trained people.
Also note that this course is not sufficient if you are opening a food business and you will be the boss; see the Manager course in this case
Mapaq Food handler training content (online)
When given in person, this course lasts 6 hours including the final exam. Online, you will decide since you will own the course materials
This training is based on:

In addition to the content of the Guide, you will find in this course explanatory data on microbiology and other tools to make your study easier and enriching as well as practice quizzes.
As you study, please write down your questions, and ask about them during your private Q&A video session. This is free of charge and is not mandatory.
When you think you are ready, ask to take the exam. Duration 30 minutes. Passing mark: 60%. You will be entitled to your study documents during the exam.

Official MAPAQ training giving a “good for life” Food Establishment Manager Certificate, the same one which requires 12 hours of in-person courses. Note that the handler course is included in this training, so that everyone has the same knowledges.

Mapaq Manager of food business training target student (online)
This course is aimed at people who will be responsible for hygiene and safety in the eyes of MAPAQ
In general, at least one person who has completed this course is required per license issued by mapaq. The person taking this course can be the business owner but can also be his or her delegate.
Questions regarding the number of people who need to be trained will be covered during this course but you can find the information here. (2.2.4.1. & 2.2.4.2.)
Mapaq Manager of food business training content (online)
This course lasts 12 hours including the final exam, when given in person.
The first half is really the Food Handler training. This makes sense and allows for all trained people in the business to talk the same food safety language. For this first half, in addition to the content of the Guide, you will find some explanations on microbiology and some tools to make your study easier and enriching as well as some practice quizzes.
While studying, kindly write down your questions since you are entitled to two one-hour video sessions with your instructor free of charge, this is not mandatory. When you think you are ready, ask to take the exam. Duration 60 minutes. Passing mark: 60%. You will be entitled to your study document during the exam. Request free feedback on your review. Mapaq Hygiene and Food safety 3h30 training target student (online)
Here are the target persons for this training. You'll need to have taken this is you are:
A person who works in a daycare service affiliated with a coordinating office, for 9 children or less
The person responsible for hygiene and food safety in an intermediate or family-type facility, 4 to 9 people
The person responsible for hygiene and food safety within an organization that carries out small-scale, one-off food preparation activities for 30 consecutive days or less in a year.
WARNING
This training is only recommended for the 3 categories of people above. It gives a basic idea of food safety. This is not the training you'll want to add to your resume if you are applying for a job in a restaurant or a food entreprise. For these cases, you need the 6-hour Food Handler training course. Practice quizzes are provided. A 20-minute zoom session with a trainer will take place for questions and answers (mandatory). In a relaxed atmosphere, this conversation simply means to ensure the training's main principles have been understood. We believe this is a humane and productive way to cap this very short training.
